Wooden Ship Kits

SAN JUAN NEPOMUCENOKit

`
Built in 1765 the San Juan Nepomunceno was a cross between French and English styles of ship building of the period. The English ships were all utilitarian, while the French were so concerned about style and ornamentation that their ships were difficult to maneuver.
The San Juan Nepomunceno was a cross of both. Elegant yet a worthy adversary for the British. Her most famous battle took place in 1805 off the coast of Spain near Trafalgar. It was at this battle that both the France and Spain were defeated by the England. Horatio Nelson, the commander of the British fleet died here when stuck by a musket ball through the heart.
