After seven years of painstaking research and development, Model Shipways is proud to introduce their kit of the USF Constitution available. Our kit is based on the 1927 Navy drawings, photographs and documentation used during the 1993-97 restoration. Plank-on-bulkhead construction features laser cut wooden parts. High quality basswood planking strips cover the hull and we include selfadhesive copper tape for hull plating. True-to-scale Britannia metal, brass and hardwood fittings and 16 photo-etched brass sheets provide life-like detail. Over 50 cannon, carronade and gun barrels duplicate original armament. Some of Model Shipways' extra touches include laser cut gratings and engraved scrollwork. Four-hundred yards of rigging line in six diameters are also supplied. Eight sheets of detailed plans and 48 page step-by-step instruction manual by Ben Lankford uncovers the secrets of building a museum quality replica.

Blue Jacket #167-887-8 solid hull construction
The carved basswood hull is solid to the gun deck, which leaves you two decks to out fit.  You may wish to leave off some of the spar deck planking so the ship's interior will be open to view.  In addition, the kit contains 2,600 fittings of brass and Britannia pewter.  They include boarding pikes, crewheads, gratings, 18 culverines, pewter quarter galleries, 54 cannons including caronades with carriages.  A photo etched transom with an additional 17 casted  ornaments.  20 different sizes of scale rigging are included.  The 126 page instruction book has recently been revised  with 150 line drawings.  Black and white photos and notes on every aspect of the ship.

#000-000-0 Constitution showcase
Custom made acrylic show case. The front, top and back are made of one piece of acrylic and bent with heat. The sides are glued and then torched to give added strength. The hand finished wooden base is made of oak and pine and is available in four finishes. Maple, Walnut, clear Oak, Asphalt black or no finish at all. Acrylic thickness: 3/16"
