ATLANTIC 1903 three masted schoonerKit

Built in 1903, the sleek, black, steel-hulled ATLANTIC not only won the prestigious trans-Atlantic race...she set a record for a sailing vessel, unbeaten until 1997, of 12 days, 4 hours, I minute and l9 seconds. Powered by a steam auxiliary engine, she sported a special low-drag propeller and a folding funnel, both of which were removed for racing.

Blue Jacket #167-884-2 Block hull construction
An updated version of the original kit, designed in 1934. Blue Jacket's new ATLANTIC has a re-machined carved basswood hull, finely-cast pewter acid etched brass fittings, wood, sheet styrene and all other needed materials.
The clearly written instructions and the redrawn plans make it easy for the less experienced modeler to produce an impressive model. Along with the builder's manual, you will receive three sheets of superbly drawn printed plans, a pre-carved hull requiring very little sanding and shaping, all wood parts for the deckhouses, rails, and spars, plus an abundance of brass and finely cast pewter fittings.
