The Thermopylae and the Cutty Sark's names will forever be linked in history. The master of the Cutty Sark challenged Thermopylae to a race. From Sidney Australia to London England. The voyage took 73 days, a record. During the grueling voyage Cutty Sark lost her rudder and the Thermopylae beat her by 7 days earning her place in history as the fastest of the China clippers.

Sergal #167-586-0 Plank on frame construction
Build an accurate model from Sergal's double plank-on-bulkhead kit. All wooden parts are laser cut. Kit is complete with limewood and walnut planking strips, walnut masts, cotton rigging and silk screened flag. High quality fittings of machine turned and photo-etched brass, copper, and hardwoods are surprisingly plentiful for a kit this size. Two full size sheets of plans are clearly drawn and easy to follow.

Custom made acrylic show case. The front, top and back are made of one piece of acrylic and bent with heat. The sides are glued and then torched to give added strength. The hand finished wooden base is made of oak and pine and is available in four finishes. Maple, Walnut, clear Oak, Asphalt black or no finish at all. Acrylic thickness: 1/8" US$119.95
