Designed for speed and maneuverability, these merchant vessels built in Baltimore in the early 1800's became known as Baltimore clippers. With her elegant lines large deck area and plentiful storage, the Albatross is a typical example.
#104-775-6 Plank on frame construction . Mantua: This
kit features laser cut plywood keel and frames. Other wooden parts include lime
wood hull planking, mahogany veneer deck, walnut masts, capstan and trim. Fittings
are walnut and brass. eight carriage mounted, turned brass cannon grace the
decks. Two sheets of plans and illustrated instructions make construction trouble
free.
